The Ducati SuperSport has been launched in India at a starting price of Rs 12.08 lakh for the stock version. If you want the S version, you pay Rs 13.39 lakh. Furthermore, if you want the S in a white shade, the cost is Rs 13.6 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi).

It is powered by a 937cc, L-twin Testastretta engine. The liquid-cooled, twin-cylinder motor offers 110PS at 9500rpm, and 93Nm of peak torque at 6500rpm. The engine is mated to a 6-speed gearbox. Braking is done by disc brakes on both ends and it gets multi-level ABS.

Ducati India has started accepting bookings for the upcoming SuperSport. The Ducati SuperSport will be the latest addition to the Italian bikemakers portfolio in the Indian market. The Ducati SuperSport is offered in two variants internationally - stock and the SuperSport S but we will have to wait till the launch for confirmation on whether both the models are made available in India.

The new Ducati motorcycle is expected to be launched in October and is expected to be priced around Rs 12 lakh for the base variant, while the SuperSport S might retail for around Rs 14 lakh (both prices are ex-showroom). Booking amount for the Ducati SuperSport is between Rs 1-2 lakh depending on the city of purchase. While the Panigale models are more track focussed and have an aggressive riding stance, the Ducati SuperSport gets raised clip-on handlebars and mildly rear-set footpegs which means the riding posture is sporty yet comfortable.

The new motorcycle also features an adjustable windscreen further reaffirming its road focussed intentions. The styling of the new motorcycle is inspired from the Ducati 959 Panigale but it gets a redesigned headlight with LED DRLs, a larger saddle and smaller exhaust muffler. Underneath the fairing, sits a 937cc, L-Twin Testastretta engine which pushes out 110PS at 9,500rpm, while 93Nm of peak torque is made available at 6,500rpm. The SuperSport has been equipped with electronic goodies like ride-by-wire, power modes, 3-level Bosch ABS unit and traction control with 8 levels. The SuperSport S, on the other hand, gets additional equipment like fully adjustable Ohlins suspension unit, rear cowl and quickshifter (optional on the stock variant also). The Ducati SuperSport will face competition from the Kawasaki Ninja 1000 and the Suzuki GSX-R1000F.
